Grizzlies players get in the renewal game
With season ticket renewal season in full swing, the Grizzlies' sales staff got some off-season assistance from some neophyte pitchmen doing their best to help the cause: Grizzlies players Mike Conley, Rudy Gay, Kyle Lowry, Mike Miller and Hakim Warrick. The players, whose dedication to the cause was such that they hit the phones even before getting changed after practice, called various MVPs still on the fence about renewing for 2008-09 and did their best to convince them that the future is bright.
Their competitive juices were stoked early when Hakim made the first sale, leading to the other players stepping up their efforts. In the end, the players made over 40 phone calls. Season Ticket Holders have until April 18 to renew for next season to qualify for the new True Rewards program the team has established.
